What is the Mobile Internet/WAP?

WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) is a feature that allows mobile phone users to access information and services from the internet, and is now commonly referred to as the Mobile Internet. It is not the same as browsing the web on a PC, because WAP can only be used to access sites that have been designed for the small screen of your mobile phone.

What equipment do I need?

You'll need a WAP-enabled mobile phone or WAP-compatible Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to access your network's WAP services.

Which mobile phones are WAP approved?

A current range of WAP-enabled mobile phones approved for use on your network can be found on your operator's website.

How do I access my phone's WAP/Mobile Internet Settings?

Most mobile phones can be set up automatically to use your operator's  WAP service. To find out more, visit your operator's website.

How much does it cost?

The cost of browsing WAP pages depends on your price plan. WAP usage may be included within your plan, or you may be able to  pay for each meagbyte you use. You will usually pay a one-off charge for each ringtone/wallpaper/game you download - please check your price plan for full details, or click on the following links:
