Q. Why do some websites take longer to access than others via my mobile?

The time depends on the size and graphical content of the website. Those with more text than pictures load faster. It can also depend on your phone and the connection speed available on the network at the time.

Q. What kind of sites can I view on my mobile?

Not all websites are available on your mobile, as some contain large graphics or pop ups which are not supported by the browsers and screen sizes of these devices. Check out our guide to the best WAP sites around for examples of sites you can visit.

Q. Why would I want to use the mobile internet on my phone, rather than on my PC?

  • To look up a street map on the way to a meeting
  • Read the news while stuck on the train
  • Compare DVD prices while out shopping
  • See if a colleague has sent an email
  • Check out some deals on lastminute.com

    Q. Are there any other things I can do with my WAP-enabled phone?

You can download music, ringtones, games and wallpapers, and with the latest phones you can even watch TV (check with your operator for availability)
